You and your partner can enjoy a wonderful relaxing day experiencing the outdoor summer theater, walking through the many specialty shops in downtown Leavenworth and sampling the many different worldly cuisines. If you are looking for a more outdoor approach Lake Wenatchee is home to hundreds of miles of bike trails, hikes, beautiful parks and outdoor gardens, with plenty of local cuisine as well. Leavenworth, Summer Activities – Things to See and Do:

Maifest: A wonderful celebration taking place in Leavenworth to welcome in the Spring with the Grand Parade, live entertainment, traditional German dancing, the Village of Flowers and Art in the Park.

Leavenworth Summer Theater: Enjoy Leavenworth’s Summer Theater outside at the Ski Hill Amphitheater in Leavenworth, the Leavenworth Outdoor Biergarten, or the Hatchery Park at the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery. Productions begin June 1st. Box office at 509-548-2000

Bird Watching: Pine River Ranch is a wonderful site for bird watching! Each suite comes complete with bird watching guide books and binoculars for your to roam around our nature trail and spot over 30 different species of birds!

Wine Touring Services: Leavenworth, Washington area wineries offer fabulous tasting wines in an extraordinary setting. Leavenworth area wineries offer an experience that is unmatched in the Northwest. The wineries are all nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains surrounded by the most enchanting scenery. Each winery offers its own unique experience delivering a unique atmosphere. There is also a full list of local wineries and tasting rooms in your suite.

Fishing & Hunting: A variety of fishing is available. Fish Lake is very popular for trout fishing. Mule deer and elk hunting is also available. Check with the Department of Game for season information and details.

Hiking: There is a great one mile loop right out the back door of your suite here at Pine River Ranch and over 22 acres to explore, including river front access to Nason Creek. If you are looking for more vigorous hikes you can also visit our Walks, Hiking & Biking activity page.

The Wenatchee National Forest: Consists of 2.2 million acres and approximately 40 percent is designated as Wilderness in seven Wilderness Areas. There are over 2,500 miles of recreational trails… be sure to pack a lunch! We also have a easy nature trail throughout the property for a leisurely stroll to Nason Creek, or we can direct you to great trails that are just a short drive away.

Osprey River Rafting: is a local rafting company. Wetsuits, booties, shuttle and a lunch is served riverside mid-trip on the Wenatchee River. 1-800-743-6269 “river jammin’ foam eatin’ fun”.

Rock Climbing: Equipment rental in Leavenworth. Some very popular rock faces. In the summer you can normally see rock climbers from the highway while driving between the Pine River Ranch and Leavenworth.

Leavenworth Summer Theater: The largest outdoor theater between Seattle and Spokane gets over 20,000 people annually attending the magnificent live plays. Summer productions have included such classics as The Sound of Music, Oklahoma!, Fiddler on the Roof and My Fair Lady. During November and December indoor productions include The Foreigner & a musically produced A Christmas Carol.

Icicle Creek Music Center: Concerts feature beautiful music from Vienna, France, Spain and America. Leavenworth’s ensemble, Kairos Quartet, performs.

Projekt Bayern: A group of Leavenworth business people committed to the enhancement and education of the “Bavarian Theme” of Leavenworth.

Lake Wenatchee State Park: Lake Wenatchee State Park is located one mile from the Pine River Ranch and spans 489 acres with 12.623 feet of waterfront. Golf, horseback ride, hike, enjoy the beach or play in the beautiful (but cold) Lake Wenatchee. See the web site for more information.

Official Wenatchee National Forest: The Pine River Ranch is located amidst the Wenatchee National Forest. This site has current recreational information of the area. Hiking, biking and permit information.
