1. Events & Arts 

Maifest 

Maifest is a wonderful celebration that takes place in Leavenworth to celebrate the turn of the season to spring with the Grand Parade, live entertainment, traditional German dancing, and the Village of Flowers and Art in the Park. 

Icicle Creek Center for the Arts 

Enjoy seeing some of the best films, plays, musicals, dance performances, and more of the arts in North Central Washington. Icicle Creek has an event for all tastes and is a great way to spend your evening or day in town. 

Icicle Creek Music Center 

Concerts at Icicle Creek Music Center feature beautiful music from Vienna, France, Spain, and America. Leavenworth’s ensemble, Kairos Quartet, also regularly performs at this venue. 

Leavenworth Summer Theater 

Enjoy Leavenworth’s Summer Theater outdoors at the Ski Hill Amphitheater in Leavenworth, the Leavenworth Outdoor Biergarten, or the Hatchery Park at the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery. Productions begin in early June.  

Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum 

The Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum is the only all-nutcracker museum in the United States. This attraction showcases nutcrackers from the 15th century to the present times. 

Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center 

This cultural center and museum boast programs and exhibits that focus on history, natural history, and art and cultural heritage of the people of North Central Washington. 

Village Art in the Park 

Locally renowned professional and amateur artisans showcase their work at Leavenworth City Park starting the first weekend in May and ending the second weekend of October. 


2. Outdoor Recreation

Ohme Gardens County Park 

Ohme Gardens County Park is a nationally acclaimed nine-acre alpine garden perched atop a rocky bluff above the Columbia River. Here, you can explore stone pathways, pools, waterfalls, and, best of all, jaw-dropping views! 

Bird Watching 

Pine River Ranch is a wonderful site for bird watching! Each suite comes complete with bird watching guide books and binoculars for you to roam around our nature trail and spot more than 30 different species of birds. 

Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery 

One local hotspot that makes it easy to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities in one place is the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery. Once the largest fish hatchery in the world, this Leavenworth attraction is now frequented by visitors and locals alike for its wide array of things to do and fantastic events. 

Leavenworth Hiking Trails 

There is a great one-mile loop right out the back door of your suite here at Pine River Ranch and more than 22 acres to explore, including riverfront access to Nason Creek.

Wenatchee National Forest 

This national forest consists of 2.2 million acres and approximately seven wilderness areas. There are more than 2,500 miles of recreational trails for you to explore. We also have an easy nature trail that winds through our property for a leisurely stroll to Nason Creek, or we can direct you to great trails that are just a short drive away! 

Lake Wenatchee State Park 

Lake Wenatchee State Park is one mile from Pine River Ranch and spans 489 acres with 13 feet of shoreline. Here, you can golf, horseback ride, hike, enjoy the beach, or play in the beautiful Lake Wenatchee! 

Fishing & Hunting 

Leavenworth, rich with water channels, is a fantastic place to fish. Discover our favorite places to cast a line at the link above! Mule deer, turkey, and grouse/quail hunting are also available.  

Check with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife for information and details about hunting season. 

Osprey River Rafting 

Osprey River Rafting is the leader in local river rafting. Your excursion includes wetsuits, booties, a shuttle to and from the river, as well as a mid-trip riverside lunch on the Wenatchee River. 

Rock Climbing 

There are a few activity and equipment rental providers for rocking climbing in Leavenworth. Our area is home to some popular rock faces! In the summer, you can normally see rock climbers from the highway while driving between Pine River Ranch and Leavenworth. 


3. Golfing Near Leavenworth

Kahler Glen Golf Course 

This premier golf course is just a few miles north of Pine River Ranch. Here, you can play an 18–hole course, tee off at the marine driving range, or putting green. 

Desert Canyon Golf Resort 

Desert Canyon Golf Resort is Washington State’s top-rated golf course. Here, you can discover an 18-hole, 7,500-yard golf course.  

Leavenworth Golf Club 

An 18-hole public course in Leavenworth with great views of the Wenatchee River. 

Highlander Golf Club 

An 18 hole public golf course in East Wenatchee with outstanding views of the Columbia River. 

Enzian Falls Championship Putting Course 

Enzian Falls is a beautifully maintained golf course on Highway 2. Don’t worry about packing your clubs, either, as all your equipment is provided!

Located along Highway 97-A, this discovery center boasts the Wenatchee Interpretive Museum, a fish ladder, a fish-viewing room, and a café and gift shop. 

Washington Apple Commission Visitors Center & Gift Shop 

Try delicious samples of Wenatchee apples! Here, you can also discover interactive displays that cover the apple growing process. Learn about apple blossom pollination, orchard cultivation, and more. You can also shop for unique gifts!
