With a pristine riverfront location and breathtaking mountain views, Wenatchee was in need of a place to enjoy the region’s natural wonders. In 1994, that wish came true with the creation of the Apple Capital Loop Trail. This completely paved 10-mile trek is one of the best Washington bike trails and is open for a multitude of recreational activities all year-round. If you’re looking for a way to spend a relaxing afternoon together while exploring the beauty of the Cascades, you’ll want to check out this popular trail.

All About Apple Capital Loop Trail
Apple Capital Loop Trail History
For decades, citizens and visitors of Wenatchee alike dreamed of shoreline trails that led its travelers through some of the area’s most pristine sites. Chelan County finally fulfilled this request by completing a 5-mile trail along the Wenatchee riverfront in 1990. The addition of this trail system fostered a new appreciation for the river among citizens and added to the city’s overall quality of life.
In 1994, the trail was expanded by 5 more miles and became the state’s longest loop trail. It was also at this time that it officially earned the name Apple Capital Loop Trail. Today, visitors enjoy scenic bike rides, walks, and even cross-country ski trips as they embark on one of the area’s most beloved paved trails.
Parks to Visit Along the Apple Capital Loop Trail
