Leavenworth’s International Accordion Celebration
The accordion has represented Germany for over 200 years after being invented in Berlin in the 19th century, and as any good Bavarian style town should, Leavenworth has celebrated its musical charms since 1986. The Leavenworth International Accordion Festival is another fun event that will enhance your Washington vacation experience and your stay in our Pine River Ranch retreats will be that much more special when you return home after the music stops playing each day!
Held June 26 Through June 29, 2025, at Various Venues
This wonderful celebration of a most humble musical instrument is jam packed with fun events held over four beautiful days in June. Offering vendor tables, competitions, ensemble concerts, and an Accordion Parade down Front Street to the Gazebo. The excitement of this festival begins every morning at 8:45, ending at 9 PM on most days, taking place in the Festhalle, our Civic Center, and the Grange, our Community Center, with both located on Front Street. Featuring polka music, as you might expect, and tango music that you wouldn’t expect, if you happened to bring your own magical accordion, there will also be workshops, jam sessions, and private accordion lessons. The International Accordion Celebration ends with an award ceremony, and some very sad guests who weren’t ready for the fun and whimsy to come to an end.
