Winter Karneval
Taking place on weekends in January, our Winter Karneval celebrates the season, paying homage to the German tradition known as Fasching. Enjoy live entertainment, hearty winter food and drink, and live ice-carving shows, as well as a spectacular fireworks display that lights up the sky each night.
February
Snowshoe Strolls at the Hatchery
Fridays are fun days in February, due in part to the Snowshoe Strolls at the Hatchery, bringing travelers a greater appreciation of the landscape in Leavenworth. Naturalists from the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery take hikers on a one mile stroll along the Crescent River and although you need to provide your own winter clothing, snowshoes, gaiters, and poles are provided to attendees.

Occurring every weekend in May, the Maifest celebrates spring, may flowers, music, and chainsaws. Wait, did we say chainsaws? Yes, we did, with the third week of Maifest providing a Live Chainsaw Carving, we can promise that your May visit will surpass your expectations!
International Alphorn Festival

Considered the largest gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts in the country (and yes, that includes Sturgis), Touratech Rally West celebrates everything motorcycle and offers rides that will change the way you look at the world forevermore.

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays, and although there are no artificially generated haunted houses in the area, the Iron Goat Trail is reputed to be very haunted, making October the best time to visit!

Village of Lights, Christmastown
Offering visits with Santa Claus, colorful lights, and a variety of themed events, this event is where Leavenworth truly shines. Catch the festivities every day from Thanksgiving through February. Highlights include Krampuslauf and the Christkindlmarkt.
