Catch Live Music Around Town

One of the simplest ways to enjoy a summer evening in Leavenworth is by stopping at the Front Street Park Gazebo. Throughout the summer, free performances bring local musicians, folk artists, traditional German alphorn players, and talented buskers to the heart of downtown. Grab an ice cream, find a bench, and enjoy the show.
Wine lovers can pair live entertainment with a tasting at local wineries. Patterson Cellars, Milbrandt Vineyards Tasting Room, and New Flessenow Cellars regularly host live music during the summer months, creating a laid-back atmosphere perfect for a date night or weekend getaway.
Learn Something New Together
Looking for a hands-on experience? Leavenworth offers several creative workshops that make memorable additions to your trip.
At NCW Woodshop, you can learn woodworking techniques while creating a custom project of your own. Popular classes include building personalized cribbage boards, making this a fun activity for couples, friends, or anyone looking to try something different. Once your project is finished, take it to a local brewery or pub and enjoy a game together.
For a truly unique experience, visit Boulder Bend Glassworks. Guests can watch professional glassblowing demonstrations or participate in an interactive glassblowing session led by artists Craig and Jordi. During the experience, you’ll create your own glass piece under expert guidance. Sessions last approximately 60 to 90 minutes, are available between 9 AM and 4 PM, and accommodate one or two participants. You must be at least 14 years old to participate.
Get Outside and Enjoy Summer

Some of the best things to do in Leavenworth in summer happen outdoors.
Take a stroll along the scenic 1.9-mile looped Blackbird Island Trail, where riverside paths and shaded areas make for an easy walk close to downtown. If temperatures rise, many visitors enjoy floating or paddleboarding down the Icicle River for a refreshing afternoon on the water.
Golfers can spend a day on one of the area’s beautiful courses, while hikers will find plenty of nearby trails offering mountain views, forest scenery, and opportunities to spot local wildlife.
