The Top Seven Questions To Ask When Touring A Wedding Venue
So the big question has been asked and answered in the affirmative, and you have begun your search for the wedding venue that will make your wedding dreams come true. You’ve been dreaming about this moment since you were a small child, dressed in your mom’s white tee, using paper towels as a veil, but now that it is time to actually choose your venue, and we at Pine River Ranch want to help. We don’t just offer vacation rentals, we are a wedding venue ourselves, and this list of 7 questions are ones everyone should ask when touring a wedding venue.
1) What Do Your Charge?
Simple and to the point, this question might be the most important and the most surprising, especially when you see all that we at Pine River Ranch offer and the reasonable prices we charge.
2) Do you Offer Overnight Accommodations?
We think you already know our answer, but not every venue will provide that amenity. Our suites are not just luxurious and comfortable, they are romantic and cozy, ensuring that your new life together will begin in the best of ways.
3) Are There Any Décor Restrictions?
Pine River Ranch, unlike other venues, offers just 2 restrictions on the décor. The first one, no open flames, is for your safety and ours, and the second restriction, do not use anything that makes holes or sticks to the surface, has been made to protect the aesthetics of the venue.

4) Do you Offer a Back-up Plan in Case of Rain for my Outdoor Ceremony?
The backdrop of the Leavenworth countryside makes outdoor weddings our most popular, but if rain does fall on your day, the ceremony can be moved inside our historic barn, ensuring everyone will stay dry.
5) Can my Dog be my Ringbearer/Flower Girl?
Obviously, not everyone is going to want their dog at their wedding, but we are hearing this question more and more lately, and our answer is yes, with qualifications. The dog must be on a leash at all times, someone other than the bride and groom must be responsible for the dog, and unless your ringbearer or flower girl is a certified assistance dog, they must be taken to pet-friendly accommodations after the ceremony and cocktail hour.
6) Can I Just Drop by the Venue to Take a Tour?
At Pine River Ranch, we want to make sure that your ceremony is perfect, and that means we only do tours by appointment only. How would you feel if strangers happened to drop by when you were saying your vows, crashing your ceremony, and taking the attention of staff that should be entirely devoted to your special day?
7) Pine River Ranch is Definitely Where I Want my Ceremony to be Held! When is payment due?
We require a 50 percent deposit at the time of signing, and the remainder must be paid by no later than 180 days before your wedding date. We prefer cash or check, but will accept credit cards with a 3 percent processing fee, and if you want to make smaller payments in the months between signing the contract and the due date, you are perfectly welcome to do so.
