Leavenworth is centrally located in Washington State about 2
1/2 hours from Seattle and 3 hours from Spokane.
The drive from Seattle along highway 2 is one of the most
gorgeous highways in the state. Make sure to stop along the
way at Deception Pass for some breathtaking photography.
Pine River Ranch is located about 15 minutes from downtown
Leavenworth and the drive follows along the beautiful
Wenatchee River into town. It goes so quickly you'd think
you were only a few miles away!
In Leavenworth there is something fun to
do for every season. From Oktoberfest and the Christmas
lighting festival, to the Fall Autumn Festival and the
Outdoor Summer Theater there is something for everyone no
matter what time of the year. Leavenworth is also
becoming increasingly popular for its growing selection of
local wineries and tasting rooms, activities for outdoor
enthusiast like the top 10 climbing destinations and as
always the Bavarian village is always known for its
extravagant holiday season where the town of Leavenworth
simply comes alive.
It is easy to spend a day in town shopping
at the great specialty stores. Whether you are looking for a
lavish Christmas nutcracker, a one of a kind hat like you
will never see anywhere else or homemade lotions and soaps
you will be sure to find it in Leavenworth.
And after a long day of Shopping, stop in
at one of the many fabulous eateries in Downtown
Leavenworth. If you are looking for something spicy or
sweet, or an authentic German meal there is definitely a
restaurant for you. If you've managed to save room after a
delicious meal and a hearty German beer make sure to stop
off at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for a sweet
treat of homemade fudge, caramel apples or delectable
truffles.
