Spring has sprung

Spring has sprung, the birds are chirping this morning, the snow is melting fast, and blue sky is on the way.  Spring is all about renewal.  New Year’s might be the time to make resolutions but spring makes you smile a bit more, have a spring in your step, and anxiously await the first flowers to erupt from the ground.

Spring has sprung in the North Central Cascades

The North Central Cascades are still digging out from the winter snow.  Though the temperatures have been in the low 50’s the past week there is still plenty of snow in the passes for some great skiing and snowboarding, back-country snowshoeing, and some cross-country skiing as well.  Come on up and enjoy the last days of winter before that snow disappears for a few months.

Warmer temperatures mean that fresh fruit and produce is just around the corner.  The valley is abuzz with activity and Leavenworth kicks it off with the Taste of Leavenworth

pear Spring has sprungApril 1-3rd.  This community celebrates the pear because Leavenworth is one of the largest producers of pears in the world.  Everything from pear drinks, main courses, desserts, and treats will be available all weekend long.  Come on over and enjoy the pear and see how you can incorporate it into your kitchen this year.

Of course, don’t forget the Ale Fest!
